Right. I didn’t specify ALL Dopers. I guess if your hero/role model needs require an ersatz Woodie Guthrie neverwas/synthetic hippie, then he’s your go-to guy. Hell, even my boys ElvisL1ves and Clothahump are more genuine than Mr. biting-on-aluminum-foil Elucidator.
I’m proud of the people that do like me, even prouder for the ones that don’t.
Hmmmmm. Because he’s an asshole and a troll, and he comes to the boards to wallow in his own filth because he thinks that makes the rest of us uncomfortable?
And he’s blocked everyone so he can pretend we were all stunned into silence by his pronouncements.
This thread was brought back to life and Miller brought up this post by **Clothy. **
So it looks like Bubble Boy was wrong. But he’ll never admit it.
Or see this.
Thank you for what may very well be a factual response, but I’d really like to know what he has to say for himself on the matter.
Remember when The Fonz had to apologize, but he couldn’t quite say it? “I’m s-s-s-s-…” If one can’t say something, does one really believe that something?
Thank you again for this explanation, Bricker.
Although I can appreciate that you’ve clearly dumbed it down to a layman’s level, I must confess I still find it a very confusing (through intriguing) system. But I think I get the general idea.
It would be nice if news outlets would spend as much effort on educating the public with accurate reporting as they do on chasing attention-grabbing headlines.
Was I time I would have gladly done this for you, but I think I’m in the same boat now.
I see **kaylasdad99 **has stepped up to plate. I can’t see why **Clothahump **would have cause to have blocked him. But who knows?
. . . How many of us are there on this boat!?
Surely he can’t have found cause to block me! I’m practically the physical embodiment of sweetness and light!
Yeah, you’re alright.
No, he’ll just ignore you.
Snowflakes don’t need cause.
That’s like wondering why Count Dracula would block the physical embodiment of garlic and crosses.
Lawyers often don’t understand procedural distinctions like this one, so it’s perhaps a little unfair to expect journalists to. There is usually coverage of high-profile cases like this on legal blogs like Volokh, SCOTUSblog, etc., which do a much better job of explaining nuance.
At least 26, by my count.

I didn’t dodge the question. Nor did I answer begrudgingly. I answered the question very straightforwardly. The problem is that people didn’t like my answer. But that, in the long run, is their problem and not mine.
Sigh. I didn’t troll him, no matter how much you whine that I did. Deal with it.
According to the posters and mods in the thread, including the conservative ones, you did.
The best explanation I can think of is that Clothy thinks that if the target of trolling is one person, or a small group of people, rather than everyone, then it doesn’t count as trolling.
Yes, I was suspended for trolling. Which I didn’t do, but what the hell, facts and reality don’t seem to matter one whit when libs get their undies all knotted up.
I’m not denying anything. I’m stating a fact: in the course of a debate, when you see someone so far wrong that they are not even in the same zip code with correct, it is NOT trolling if you hand them the rope to hang themselves with. Which is what I did. Deal with it.
And EP? Please put me on your ignore list if you haven’t done so already. That way, I won’t have to put up with more ignorant bullshit from you.
