Texas Fold 'EM - Game #2

Well, I’ll just say that all ten of my holecards are aces, and leave it at that.

You are such a card.

If anything, I would accuse you of not playing with a full deck.*
*Two of my standard “Card” puns, but, then again, given your screen name, it has interesting synergy.

I was wondering is how I got a joker in each of my hands.

OR:

Yeah, Me too!
And then, I realized that, that was the card BACK.
(They do make an Ace of Spades Card back deck.)

And then again, I’ve heard that in Vietnam, US Playing Card [Bicycle brand] made decks of cards, that were 52 Ace of spades, with Regulation card back. It was explained, that the Ace of Spades was more or less seen as a “Death” card by the superstitious Vietnamese.

The flop: Ac 3c 4c

I think I’m gonna vomit. :frowning:

Someone straightflushed?

No speculation sir. Everything will be revealed at the end.

Then again, if he DID vomit, I would hope he would flush straight away…

CyberHwk, You got my second folded cards via PM.

TURN: Ad

Board now reads: Ac 3c 4c Ad

Folded my third hand via PM.

The River: 9c

Board: Ac 3c 4c Ad 9c

Though it’s just a formality, go ahead and send me the hand your playing.

And my one club was in the hand I folded pre-flop.

I think this nicely displays a fun dynamic of this poker variant. You have so many options, deciding which ones to keep and to eliminate is the challenge, of sorts.

Though I imagine I’d have folded my single club also if the suits were terrible enough. Perhaps would have at least attempted to hold on to it 'til postflop.

Who knows? shrugs

I also had one club pre flop, and it went into the muck

I had three suited hands. Diamonds, hearts and spades.

[phil hellmuth]I can’t beleive you’re playing those cards, idiot [/phil hellmuth]

The problem with the one card flush in this variant is with so many hands in play you can pretty much GUARANTEE that any one card flush is going to be the nuts. In fact, given that flop it might not have been such a bad idea to fold anything other than a Kc or Qc anyway. Even if it hits, I can’t count on anything less than the nuts being good.

…then again i guess there’s no betting so keeping it around wouldn’t hurt anything.

I’d like to play in the next go-round, or whenever you have an open seat. (Won $7K in a poker tournament a couple of weeks ago, and I want to ride the rush.)

IN FOURTH PLACE:

[spoiler]notfrommensa - Voluntarily folded everything :D. But the hole card camera revealed 9d5d for two pair, Aces and Nines with a 5. Mensa gets pretty hosed having cards suited in hearts, suited in spades, suited in diamonds…

…and the flop comes 3 clubs. :smack:[/spoiler]
IN THIRD PLACE:

Meeko - Meeko flops the wheel with 5s2h after having folded his only club out of 10 cards preflop.

IN SECOND PLACE:

Really Not All That Bright - Kc3h makes a King high club flush. Hand was pretty straight forward.

AND IN THE ** ULTIMATE story of goat to glory…**

Leaper. FOLDED THE STRAIGHT FLUSH PREFLOP! Five hands and he sends his 5c2c into the muck! However Leaper still hung onto his Ah4d and turned his Full House, Aces Full of Fours for the nuts and the win. (Interestingly enough Leaper KNOWS he had the absolute nuts at the end because he not only folded the straight flush but also had the last remaining ace.

Congrats everyone.

Heh. Funny how things turn out. The 2c5c was my weakest hand, and I figured, what’re the odds? Pretty good, as it turned out. But then, as I told Cyberhwk, it was more interesting having things NOT be decided on the flop again, and I still had a not half bad two pair. The lucky turn card just cemented the irony all around.

This was fun!

Nice hand. Bastard.

Next hand?
