ok, maybe it’s more figurative than literal.
or other way. btw, i never bluff. so if i bet and you are in the pot. fold immediately. it helps your chances.
meeko, oslo, missy and yeti should be called at every possible opportunity. they bluff ALL the time.
just trying to help out, dontchaknow.
neta: and post 63 defers to 62. that is, if they call and i raise and then they fold you should immediately revert to 62.
it’ll probably be in my next book.
Are you having a good time, Peeker?
actually yes. i don’t drink. so thursdays are the Nights that i allow myself leaded cokes and mini snickers. but not until game kick off. but my god, i’ve got the snickers in the freezer and the coke iced down so i am ready to rumble.
i’ll probably blow through two or three cokes and 6 - 10 snickers once it kicks off. so yeh, i am kind of excited.
The story of my worst beat:
$40 tournament at Harrah’s. About 25 players left (out of about 8). I had $3500 left, blinds were at $300-$600.
I got Queens. I doubled the big blind; all but one folded: he went all in for $1800. I called.
He had 10-J off.
Flop: Q-4-6 (I made up those last two; I don’t remember what they were, but they were blanks). I had a set, he needed two cards for a straight.
Turn: 9
River: K. He backdoored a straight for half my stack.
Oh, well, it happens, right?
Two hands later, I had pocket fives. I went all in with my last $1700.
One caller. He had Q-J.
Flop: 5-9-6. I had a set, he needed two cards for a straight.
See where this is headed?
Turn: K.
River: 10.
My worst beat story (which I’ve told on here before) involves just this hand, and flopping a set, and picking up the fourth queen on the turn… and a loss on the river to a straight flush.
Yeah. I just discovered that you have to create an account for each hosted server you try to visit. Weird that you can’t just have the site remember your info and reuse the same login over and over.
Also, I’m having supreme difficulty signing up for AIM…I may have to only utilise the in-game chat.
At Harrah’s, in a cash game, that would win you a lot of money.
They have a bad beat jackpot. A guy recently lost with quads and picked up over $200,000.
if you want to experience bad beats in person and be able to gloat or rub people’s noses in them now is the time to sign up. we’ve got lots of room and are always looking for more. it’s easy, it’s cheap (free for you more frugal types). and you get to crow around the game room for a week at least in the few poker threads.
I would love to have that happen to me, when the bad beat jackpot is at about 200K.
i am just trying to help, is all.
hee hee.
that’s cool. we’ll just talk behind your back then.
It wasn’t me, then.
I can imagine what would happen if you had a couple of Vodka and Red Bulls.
I’m getting some weird ass Tag Errors and there’s not a lot of info available via googling to resolve it. I have the latest Java update. I have Vista Ultimate. I don’t know why I can’t get this to work. On the create an account screen after installation, there’s a security image that’s supposed to be displayed that you type in and all I see is a red “X” where the image is supposed to be.
There’s an audio option to listen to the alphanumeric code to enter, but that produces the errors.
Bloody hell.
i’d pm robot or skeezix or oslo or fubs.
sorry i ain’t for stuff when it comes to this.
also, we typically misfire once so even if you don’t figure it all out by 9 we typically re load a couple minutes later.
No, I’m good on my pokermavens account (like I said, it appears each different server/gaming table requires you to login seperately), its AIM where I’m getting all the issues.
AIM is giving the trouble too. The SPAM random digits are not showing up so it won’t let me create a username.
