Text Message to Email conversion (Verizon service)

I tried a while back to send (or forward) some received text messages (Motorola Droid smartphone with Verizon service) from a relative to my email account (which is Outlook) on my home computer. I was able to do it, but it had stripped off the phone number, date, time and identity of the sender of the text message. I am wondering if there is a better way or app that keeps that information (which is quite important in my case) and sends a perfect copy of the text to a single email.

So, any app hungry Dopers out there that have a solution?

Maybe an app like SMS to Text?

Better yet: Sign up for Google Voice and keep everything online, free and archived and searchable, until Google someday goes out of business or the universe dies. The end of privacy, sure, but also the end of inconveniences like having to manually save text messages.
