It looks like the desperate for ratings NBC Network is trying to carve out a niche with intelligent programming.
Now, the network is adapting the EXCELLENT indie film into a half hour comedy. I’m hoping for two things:
(1) It is a single camera dramedy that is put on Thursdays with Scrubs, Earl and the Office (offering perhaps the best Thursday since Cosby, Family Ties and Night Court.)
and
(2) Aaron Eckhart reprises his role. He’s not such a big star that he couldn’t use a regular paycheck. He was so good that it was a shame the show debuted in the Fall. He deserves Oscar consideration.
