When Leigh-Anne and I got home last night, much to our surprise, half of the complex’s parking lot (specifically, the half in front of our building) was roped off, and had obviously been resurfaced. We had heard nothing about any resurfacing project. When we walked into the building, there was a notice on the door that they suddenly had to resurface, on short notice, and apologized for the inconvenience. This notice had been posted sometime after we left at 7:15 a.m. What on earth would cause such a catastrophe as needing an emergency resurfacing within 12 hours?
Anyway, we found a space on the other side of the complex. Others were not so lucky, so they parked along the roadway throughout the complex so as not to block in other cars. When we walked out this morning, there was a cop walking up and down the roadway throughout the complex ticketing cars! Boy, are there going to be some pissed-off people today.
