Thanks Cranky! (Book-Swap) And Dark Writer

That was a wonderful idea that you had, and the books I received from Dark Writer were just what I needed to get me out of the “Waiting for the new King book-doldrums”.

Sheri, I’m reading 4x4 right now, and man! Those guys can sure hang some words together. Brian Keene’s Earthworm Gods scared the you-know-what outta me! I don’t think I’ll ever bait another hook without thinking of that story.:frowning:
Anyway, I will write you an e-mail about all the tales when I finish.
I’m saving yours for last. Just think of this as a concert and all those other guys as your “opening act”, okay? I’m sure I’ll be calling for encore after encore;) .

Okay, enough gushing. Just wanted to tell both of you in this post that I appreciate being able to take a look at what some other folks think is good story-telling, and that I am definitely not disappointed!

Quasi

Okay.

Well, thanks.

I’m sorry - I’m just now seeing this post. Otherwise, I would’ve responded right away.

I’m so glad you’re enjoying the books. Yeah, those 4x4 guys are wild. Here are some links so you can find out more about them:

Brian Keene

Geoff Cooper

Mike Oliveri

I don’t know Mikey Huyck’s website address.

If you liked Earthworm Gods, you’ll really enjoy Keene’s collection No Rest for the Wicked.

There is definitely so much more to horror than King, Koontz and Rice. I’d be happy to help you find more stuff by up-and-coming authors.

I hope you enjoy my story. I wrote that a couple years ago, but I still like it, unlike some of my older stuff where I absolutely cringe if I just even think about it.

Feel free to email me anytime if you’re looking for more horror to read.
