I’ve been surfing and reading the boards some this week, and have noticed that access has been much faster than it was last week, before the updates. I for one want to say “thanks!!!” to the mods and the techs who did all of the work for us, and “Congratulations - it appears to be a success!”
I know a little bit about what goes into updating a complex hardware or software system, and I appreciate how much work, planning, sweating the details, jumping through flaming hoops, and extra effort at odd hours can be involved.
At least one of the Teeming Millions stands up and salutes you for it.

All hail Jerry (jdavis), busting his behind all weekend in a lonely, hot, and dusty Chicago attic room. If it weren’t for him the crack hamst-- errrr, the server CPU would have surely exploded by now.
Us mods and admins deserve no praise this time. We just make Jerry’s life miserable by moving threads, deleting posts, banning posters, and other assorted shit that upsets the server more than a two year search for the word “penis” in all fora.
Then again, we only do that because you kids don’t play nice all the time.

Oh, and I’ll send the crack hamsters a bag of cashews to chew on, and a couple of toilet paper tubes to hide in. They had a paw in this too, after all.

What did I forget?[/sub]
Oh yeah, sure, blame us innocent posters. We know the real reason the boards have been so slow lately, you were doing all internet search for goat porn. Admit it!!!
