Turned out to be another holiday alone for me.
Did get time-and-a-half pay at work, though, so I got something for the day.
And made myself some green bean casserole for lunch.

Yeah, same here. The pizza wasn’t bad, although I wish I could get the crust a bit crisper in the center.
Widowed 15 years now. Hated holidays, still not a big fan. I would plan something for early early on the holiday morn. Because I found the nite before a holiday depressed me so badly, thinking about people being together. So an early walk in the mountains or a park, an early yoga class, the gym, whatever. Working was good too. I just avoid the holiday as well as I could and breathed a sigh of relief when the damn thing was over.
My plan to have T-day dinner with my brother at Harry’s Hofbrau was derailed–there was a line out the door and around the corner (probably 100+ people) when we got there. We ended up going to Whole Foods and getting turkey and fixin’s from their hot food section…a poor substitute(and twice as expensive).
Great Thanksgiving with shrimp cocktail, lasagna and iced coffee mocha and the best present of all the LA Chargers beating the Dallas Cowboys on national TV 28-6.
Rain didn’t even get me down … no more fires
