Sometimes after posting to a thread, especially when the board is running like a snail on rohypnol, I get a message that goes:
‘Thank you for posting! Y’
It’s a real put-down you know. It’s like, ‘Why are you bothering to post your inane, vacuous response to an otherwise intelligent thread? Why are you wasting our precious bandwidth with your uninformed drivvel? Why don’t you just go away and get squished under a rock?’
I’m so hurt.
It’s a secret message from the board hampsters. Eventually they hope to spell out

and we will laugh as they run raggedly on their wheels.
I’ve often chuckled when I type some inane drivel in the “reply” box (like I’m doing now), hit submit and then see, “Thank you for posting!”
If I was a board admin, I’d occasionally change it to say something like, “Do you really think anybody will want to read that!?”
or maybe… no wait, I think I’ll start a new thread instead of highjacking this one.
