What the hell is that supposed to mean? Bossy? Men are masterful or commanding, but women with the same traits are bossy?
Cute?! You got an alternative sense of cuteness. I’ve heard people say he looked like Dan Quayle, just with less brains. But I see the Dumbocrats are really campaigning with the deep political subjects; a cute veep and better hair. Poor Hillary though. Being called bossy! Such an unfair world. sniff sniff
I think Rashak Mani may have just used the wrong word. “Bossy” carries a negative tone of someone who has usurped thousands of micro-powers and presents an image of someone who actually has real power (big sister can beat you up, is 2 grades higher than you and gets to stay up late, ergo, she is the boss of you).
This does not describe Hillary. Hillary is a woman who has worked hard all her adult life to achieve a political career many men can only dream about. This makes her an “uppity” woman who has forgotten that her place is barefoot & pregnant in the kitchen whippin up some grits for Slick Willy. That said, women with law degrees are so cute!
It would be nice if people would get their facts straight before they post–this board is supposed to be about fighting ingorance, and you can’t do that if you toss words around in incorrect context.
I did not have sexual relations with that bossy woman.
Well, women can be bossy but not assholes. Asshole seems to be a purely male domain. But, in a double blind study, if you put an asshole and bossy woman in a cardboard box, it would be a very unpleasant cardboard box.
Well, he’s cuter than Kerry, Bush, or Cheney, wouldn’t it be fair to say? I can’t believe I’m pointing that out.
Isn’t “Bossy” a common name for a cow? And have you noticed how females in most mammal species referred to as the “cow”? Have you ever tried to refer to a human female as a cow? Hilarity ensues.
What were we talking about again? Oh yeah, Hillary. I don’t think she’s a cow. And of all the political people so far, I think she’s the cutest. Even if I do think she’s evil incarnate.
You’re such a dumbfuck.
In other news, see Inigo Montoya’s response for an explanation, lee.
Sam
Barbra Streisand got that same bad rap for creating great movies. I’ll never understand it.
Bossy? I thought that term went out in the '50s. Sigh…
I thought ‘bossy’ applied equally to men and to women. A few quick Google searches reveal otherwise.
Results 1 - 10 of about 60 for “bossy male”.
Results 1 - 10 of about 162 for “bossy female”.
Results 1 - 10 of about 301 for “bossy man”.
Results 1 - 10 of about 1,160 for “bossy woman”
Results 1 - 10 of about 457 for “bossy husband”.
Results 1 - 10 of about 1,630 for “bossy wife”
Haven’t this stat-by-google been thoroughly debunked already.
Anyway…

Some interesting results there.
Ya gotta love the irony…
I wouldn’t say ‘evil incarnate’, as I think her sinisterness is still well-meaning, which makes her even more dangerous. And yeah, I think she’s definitely MILFy, even if I fear she’s devour me (in the bad spider kinda way) afterwards.
Gee, Ted, don’t they make you guys take vows these days? Or at least eye tests?
I don’t mind the bovine reference when it comes to being called bossy. Heck, I am hefty and lactating so there is at least some thing to that. What I mind is that it has been used as a charge against me by subordinates, not for micromanaging, but for simply telling them to do the stuff they should be doing but repeatedly failed to do, even offering to train one guy on any task that he did not understand well. I was actually told to soften my requests and not ask him to do stuff so much. It was later discovered that even the stuff he appeared to be doing was being done by a friend of his in another department. He was lazy and incompitant, and one of the reasons that he got away with it was by calling me bossy.
I have also been called uppity, but that is by people that really have misperceived my proper place. Those people have thought I should be home, serving my husband, not out in the world making them uncomfortable for bandying about words like “cripple.” Others don’t take the charge uppity seriously, but bossy is given weight.
I don’t understand how anyone can call Hilary bossy. What prompts that? Because she is commanding in the sense that she demands attention. Is that it? Is it really that simple as “men are commanding and women are bossy” to these people? SHE IS A SENATOR. Politians who don’t demand attention and who suceed are rare indeed.
You know, when someone says that they’re taking away the tax cuts for the “common good” (read: the government (and I) know better than you)…I’d call that bossy. Or domineering. Or just plain arrogant.
Um, “less brains” means less intelligence; “fewer brains” would mean a smaller number of brains, primarily useful in dealing with a species with more than one.
And…what would you call a male senator who did this? Would it occur to you to call him “bossy” or would you stick to “domineering” and “arrogant”? That’s the question here; why are men with authority described with Executive Business Power words like “Domineering” or “Assertive” while women with authority are called a word most people last used when they were 7 years old to describe their mean older sister?
