That thing YOU think everyone should get. Everyone!

Mine is a Scrub daddy. I know you’ve seen them, right near the SOS pads and cellulose sponges on the shelf.
(Ahem…cheaper on Amazon).
It’s in the shape of a smily face.
The things are miraculous. And they make me happy to look at.
It will clean anything with no permanent marks left.
I cleaned the front of my vanity. It’s unknown wood with unknown finish.
Lots of dribbled tooth paste, hair product, make-up, an occasional squirt of lotion or oil.
Took 12 min. 3 doors, 3 drawer fronts.
(Now, who’s gonna clean that mirror??)

I hear car detailers like these things.

What works well with a Scrub daddy is this concoction called “Pink Stuff” by Stardrops. I couldn’t get it locally. So I ordered it off Amazon.

I think everyone should have a Scrub daddy.

Pink Stuff is great but other things will work too.

A bamboo backscratcher. Well it doesn’t have to be bamboo but everyone deserves a backscratcher.

I buy in bulk every couple of years and always bring some to Xmas gatherings to give to people I have just met or not seen in a while. Most nearly everyone I know has a backscratcher or two from me.

I really should remember to get one of those. Things like knitting needles or hairbrushes are not always adequate.

Must check out the Scrub Daddy and Pink Stuff.

ScrubDaddies are a big “meh” for me. I do not get the hype, and I can’t stand the feel of them.

I have a little wooden push-pull thingie for the oven shelves. Mine is handmade of a pretty polished wood and it has a magnet in one side of the handle so you can have it handy. It’s simple and elegant and makes me happy.

If you’re a baker, then parchment paper is a must.

Geez, let me see, when was the last time I used parchment paper.

I started typing this reply. Then the timer went off. I took the cookies off the sheet and put them on the parchment paper, then I can back here to finish.

So, eons ago.

I find parchment paper handy for baking things like frozen breaded fish, too.

I use it for everything, too. Cookies, baked chicken, used it yesterday to bake a strawberry tart with a cream cheese lemon vanilla base on puff pastry. Love that stuff!

Parchment paper is a must.
And, no, who ever advertised foil works as well, is mistaken.

I got parchment thingys for the air fryer.
They’re ok.

An Air Fryer.
I was a long, long holdout. Couldn’t see the need for it - The microwave or the oven worked fine.
Then I found out that if you used an air fryer, you could get CRISPY hash browns, instead of kinda-soggy out of the microwave. You could get CRISPY pizza rolls, instead of kinda soggy. And in half the time.
I now use it multiple times each week. And LOVE the results.

I just don’t have the counter space for a stand-alone air fryer, but the air fryer lid for my Instant Pot works quite nicely for the quantities I need in a two-person household.

I am very fond of my Instant Pot. Very versatile and effective. Only grumbles I have would be that it’s annoying to have to use up/down arrows to set cook times (I’d love a numeric keypad for that), and if I forget to turn off Keep Warm when making rice, it’s a pain to scrub the cooked-on gunk out of the pot.

Or even if you’re not! I use parchment paper so often that I buy it in extra-large bulk quantities. Anything that’s supposed to go on a baking sheet goes on a parchment liner on the sheet, and ditto any pizza going on a pizza stone.

I haven’t seen anything specifically made for air fryers, but I’ll sometimes tear some parchment so it roughly fits in the air fryer basket when I’m frying something particularly messy like chicken wings. They have to be flipped halfway through, but it works really well to minimize cleanup.

Temu. They are very cheap. Right now.
Tariffs may send Temu into some kinda
Issue about prices.

If I could get one thing for everybody it would be …

A Fucking Clue!

Sooo many people desperately need one and can’t seem to acquire it on their own.

As to household gadgets I don’t have any miracle devices. Although a coffee/tea cup warmer is real nice when lingering over a cup with the Dope. Bevs stay hot as long as you want. I have one at my easy chair and another at my desk. Anywhere I spend long chunks of time other than bed.

And for your bed you don’t need any stinkin” warmer!

Such are the troubled times we live in that I think we can all get behind this!

Enough sleep.

Partly because it would be good for them; and partly because sleep deprived people can’t think clearly. And we have an entire society full of sleep deprived people.

Vaccinated

Waalll, I wuz gonna say – A LICK OF COMMON SENSE!

but I likewise endorse the previous sentiment.

My first thought was logic, but seemly i understood the question differently than most.
