That "Work Hard" ethic and "Having Experience" ain't SHIT anymore....

…oh back in the day, it might have been so…but nowadays, its all about “Who You Know” and NOT “What You Know”.

Its freakin’ “Nepotism” meets the “Family/Friends Network” a cesspool of ignorant, stuck up muther fuckers, who hide behind government jobs bilking it for what its worth.

All they do is sit in thier offices and think of the next MWR event to plan. I tell you…every single one of them can kiss my ass, I hope they get theirs in the end…fuck em all…Fuck You

Fuck You DON HRSC, your evil network of friends and family are in place in every command and naval station up and down the West Coast…you are no better than the evil tentacles of Al Quedda!

I hope your ilk are discovered, your deceit revealed…FUCK YOU ALL!!!

I am so glad NMCI is taking over and I hope someone higher up see’s your deceit, see’s your evil plan as you try and place your freinds and family in other positions not affected by NMCI…payback is coming…and I hope someone is looking…seeing wierd shit thats going on…

Your deceitful disquise in the term “Networking” will be revealed…your downfall is coming. Your lazy government asses really have to start working now…bastards, thats what you get!!!

Fuck ya’ll, your mama, your papa, your bald headed granny!

F-U-C-K Y-O-U ! ! !

Whew! I feel so much better now…

Interesting use of elipses. Maybe you could explain some of those acronyms for us. And surely ‘“Nepotism” meets the “Family/Friends Network”’ is a tautology?

If you insist:

DON = Department of the Navy

HRSC = Human Resources Service Center, specifically aimed towards the SouthWest office.

MWR = Morale, Welfare, Recreation = basically, the department that takes care of non-military shit for military members, stuff like movies, rental equipment, general wellbeing schtuff.

NMCI = ?

And this is different from every other time in history how?

Ehhhhh Mon, relax!

When was this mythical time when “who you know” didn’t count for shit?

Navy Marine Corps Internet.
I think it’s the new internal navy network, connecting all facilities and ships on one high speed system.

Almost, kinda, sorta.

Lets just say its contracting of govt jobs, specifically IT (Information Technology) related under the Navy/Marine Humane Resources.

For example:

Your a Computer Specialist and you get a really big salary, but now the government wants to save money, so the government decides to contract these Computer Specialist jobs to an outside company. Your Computer Specialist job, benefits, job security is in trouble.

Basically your gonna lose your position.

You have two choices:

  1. You opt to go on the Priority Placement List to stay with the government, where they will find you a job

or

  1. NMCI offers you a job and you take it. Taking a job with NMCI means you no longer work for the government and are hired as a contractor with NMCI for up to 5 years, after the 5 years NMCI can pick you up for another 2 years, thats total of 7 years, if your lucky.

So these lazy fucks who are just here for the money are looking to there friends in the Human Resources center to hook them up and place them in positions where there aren’t positions.

Not too long ago the govt added a new category to the government jobs, number 2210, which are Information Technology jobs. A GS-09 person with a 2210 job gets paid more than a GS-09 person in any other job serious other than 2210.

Now most of these people are GS11/GS12 etc etc and are categorized as 0335, here where I work its a Computer Specialists. People who don’t know diddley shit about networks, hub, intranet, internet, webmail…the sha-bang.

So these asswipes, somehow are able to get their job series changed to a 2210 series, not because of the job, but because of the money…these ass holes have no clue what they are doing and don’t give a damn, as long as they are getting that extra pay.

But along comes NMCI and all that shit is hitting the roof, because their jobs are being contracted out.

How they did it, I don’t know, but they did. They got their job series changed to a 2210, which means more of your hard earn tax dollars paying the salaries of these incompetent asswipes.

So now they’re scrambling around and are having their friends at Human Resources make-up new jobs that don’t exist, try to entice others into early retirement so they can put their friends in those positions…just a bunch of corrupted bull shit.

And I’m happy about it, damn right happy.

Especially where I work, those of us not in the so called click call it “The Friends and Family” command, its a small government installation, you’ve got husbands and wives working side by side, even sons and daughters, son in laws, friends from the same bowling team, father and sons, mothers and daughters, nieces and nephews almost like a hill-billy trailor park.

Wants even funny about it all is that they don’t try to hide it. Its right in your face.

When you’re done ranting at the military, try ranting at the weather. You might actually make a difference.

LOL, funny you should mention that, if that be the case. I just killed two birds with one stone.

I work at the weather station.

I have to agree with EhhMon. The military itself is a pretty equal opportunity employer, but “civilians who work for the military” is a very corrupt system very deserving of a BBQ rant and really needs to be exposed for the shit system it is. You wouldn’t believe the imcompetent fucks who get jobs based on friends & family. In some areas it really is a family/friend/culture based mafia.

Go to the civilian employment (HR) office on a military base near you. Ask what jobs are available & how you go about getting them. The answer you’ll likely get is, “none” and “I don’t really know.” If you ask, “how’d you get your job?” they’ll say something like, “there was an opening & I applied.” It’s all bullshit. There’s a very regimented system for getting a job with the military and you’re welcome to spend a few years trying to get a job that way, but it’s a load of crap, unless you’re extremely lucky & specialized. The jobs go to friends & family. In the civilian private industry world you’re encouraged to “network” your way into a job but it’s not the same thing. In the civilian working for the military world, you have to deal with the friends/family mafia.

The end result is billions of your tax dollars are paying the salaries of a bunch of imcompetent nepotists. These are little more than really, really highly paid welfare recipients who, if they had to find a “real” job wouldn’t last a week.

Interesting, since my father was a GS-13 (might have been -14 when he retired after 36 years as a civilian contractor to the military) and head of a department at USAF Wright Patterson and specifically told me had couldn’t hire me into any related area. Nepotism was stricly prohibited.

I was both quilified as an engineer and I had military background (not that the mattered, I’m just saying.)

Oh and the department, in case someone wants to snipe about “real” jobs or whatever: Low-Observables. You know, stealth and shit. So yeah, say what you want.

Many competitive and efficient companies would take into account positively recommendations from present employees and this for simple reason: an employee knows his reputation is on the line if he recommends someone. Would you recommend a bad plumber to your good friend?
