You are way outta date. This isn’t really a problem anymore in Britain and hasn’t been for some time.
Straw would be of the same level as Rummie or Condi.
That said I guarantee it wouldn’t take long to find people on any high street in the UK that wouldn’t recognise Straw from a photo. I wouldn’t expect a lot of Americans to know him.
Maybe I’m wrong as I’m not a football suporter but all I ever hear about is how the game is much safer than the 70/80’s when riots were common place. I very rarely hear about any major disruptions anymore in football. however
I’d agree with yojimbo; soccer riots * are not as common. Generally, past are the days when entire crowds would turn on each other. However, small scale violence is still a problem with some club’s supporters coughMillwallcough*. You’re gonna have some bad apples in every crowd. Racism seems to be the major problem at the moment, rather than general rioting, and it’s a problem that’s spreading even among thepeople who work in the football industry themselves.
American Football is a much rougher sport than Rugby. The reason we have helmets and padding is because people the sport is so rough that people were dying. How many 350 pound players that can run the 40 in 5 seconds does Rugby have? That isn’t to say Rugby is a wimpy sport I just don’t think puts a body trough as severe abuse as football.
