-Mitt Romney gets such a resounding lead in the polls that most other Republican candidates drop out by the end of 2011.
-Kim Jong-Il dies and Kim Jong-Un purges the extremnists (with some covert US and ROK support) and announces to reunify with the South in a few years.
-Robert Mugabe dies and Morgan Tsvangari becomes President of Zimbabwe starting democratic reforms.
-Omar al-Bashir dies and South Sudan peacefully votes for independence. The Darfur genocide ends.
-A massive crackdown on both sides of the border results in thousands of Drug Cartel members being arrested and drug violence going down massively.
-Osama Bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri are killed in US airstrikes.
-The Taliban high command is killed by US troops while much of the Taliban defects over to the Afghan government resulting in a great victory there.
-The economy continues its sluggish recovery and begins to grow again

I fear I scored quite poorly. In the tradition of “real” psychics, I will allow you to interpret your own predictions and rate yourself.

While in the grocery store today I saw that the trash magazines had already started their annual predictions. So I propose a game where the SMDB makes their predictions as well. Year end we’ll see who is most accurate. Your predictions may be serious or silly, whatever you want. I’ll start:

1. A massive earthquake will hit the western part of the US in a month that starts with the letter J. This will be one of the largest in recent history. I will give myself a 1/2 a point. Clearly I meant in a country that starts with a J, not a month.

2. A huge Air Traffic accident will take place in May or June, further crushing the already soft air travel market. This must be scored a zero.

3. The Economy will gradually stabilize, despite dire predictions to the contrary. Both the Republicans and the Democrats will take credit for this. I will give myself a 1/2 a point. The economy is somewhat better, but rather than taking the credit, both parties are placing blame for it not being fully recovered.

4. New artifacts will be found calling into doubt the beliefs of a major religion. Skeptics will embrace the findings, but the true believers will call it a hoax. Zero points.

5. A major breakthrough in medicine will be announced, along the lines of a cure for cancer or a vaccination for AIDS. I fear I must take a zero on this as well.

6. In a month that is associated with cool weather, a cyber-attack will be made on the central hubs that support the Internet. This attack will be caught in time and the event will go virtually unnoticed by the general public. **I will award a 1/2. There was an attack on wall street that went virtually unnoticed. **

7. Khadaji will once again break his vow to lose weight and get healthy. Zero. I lost 40 lbs in 2011 and only gained 8 back. **Although I’m not sure yet that we could call me *healthy. *Still, no points. **

8. A young woman with a great body and little talent will have a number one record. Pundits will point out that sex sells, but her supporters will compare her to a young Madonna. I think this is probably true, but since I don’t know who I predicted, I won’t take a point.

So: I think it adds up to 1 1/2 of 8. (And that was generous.) Less than 20% correct.

I failed to predict that I got a job this year, which turned out to be my ideal job in almost every way. If I was any kind of genuine psychic I would’ve known about that.

A GOP presidential candidate will commit suicide. All evidence to the contrary, tin foil hat types will blame the white house.

There will be a huge earthquake in Greece. 7-8 level scale.

Israel will attack Iran with a commando team.

2 nuclear ships will sink at sea; international safety issues will be addressed in name only.

Crime will jump to record levels in the US; Authorities will be stymied by the huge support the unemployed general public gives the fugitives.

There will be several gun-rampages by disgruntled ex-employees, but it will be the one that table-sweeps a Board of Directors meeting that will ‘shock the establishment’.

There will be many airplane crashes, but most of the small plane crashes will be bankruptcy suicides.

A chip will be developed and mass-produced which fools EZ-PASS into thinking tolls have been paid.

Unemployment riots will start to happen in Europe.

A country in South America will explode an atomic bomb.

A form of sea life will unexpectedly begin to die off; discovery of the disease/poison behind it will take years.

I’ll have lunch with a celebrity (& win the lottery the same day).

The Rapture will not occur.

At least three U.S. leaders and one European leader will be suspected of being the future AntiChrist.

Sarah Palin will be seriously considered to replace Michael Steele as the leader of the Republican National Committee (perhaps to keep her from seeking the Presidency.)

Art Bell will announce either a return to the air separate from CoastToCoastAM or a terminal illness (not so much a prediction as an extrapolation based on certain events of the past week.)

Southeast Indiana will be immobilized by a blizzard in the last week of January, spoiling Doper FriarTed’s vacation. He will seek to prevent it via prayer and/or magick.

Got the first one right- YEAH!

Other than the anti-Obama nuts yammering away as usual- I consider the AntiChrist prediction a Fail. Same with the rest INCLUDING the blizzard during my Jan vacation. Yay!
