The 2015 NBA Playoffs!

That was a terrific win by the Warriors, they really deserved it. It would have been fun to have seen then against the Clippers in the WCF though, but I can’t really complain about the ending.

I wonder how much of the Warriors’ health should be attributed to the fact that they are essentially a jump shooting team? They don’t exactly battle it out in the paint. Steph can streak to the hoop, but he generally shoots outside jumpers. And his jump shots often seem firmly planted on the ground, he doesn’t get too much air. I think that’s good because it gets the shot up quicker and you aren’t in danger of landing on anyone’s foot and turning an ankle.

I hope Barkley and anyone else shuts up about the “jump shooting teams can’t win a championship” nonsense. Its still rare, but this Warriors team and Lebron’s 2 wins in Miami were kind of jump shooting teams. But Golden State’s win takes any ambiguity out of it.

Kyrie will be back, but I wonder if this helps or hurts Love’s chances of staying. I think it should help, it shows that they need at least a 2nd All Star caliber player to win with Lebron. Given how close they came, a guy or two might just do it. Its almost 100% guaranteed that they go back to the Finals next year if the big 3 stays and if Love wants to win, he’ll stay. He just has to suck it up that he’s not getting 25 and 14 each night.

Ok now that Klay got his ring, he is free to leave Golden State and come to the Lakers, right?

Some draft talk:

Its pretty silly to me to try and project 5 or 9 years out like Cowherd did this morning. The Lakers should draft small because they have to face Curry and Thompson for the next 9 years? Hell, they may not face them in 3, or whenever one of their contracts are up! I remember when people said Lebron was in trouble in Cleveland when they lost to the Magic with Dwight Howard. That was a young, up and coming team, someone said, and Lebron better move or find better help because those teams would be battling it out for the next few years. Then Howard left, Nelson and Turkoglu fell off the map, and Orlando’s in the cellar as far as teams go. We need to draft the best player rather than try to draft for position. The Lakers have to take either Towns or Okafor if they’re available. We’ll worry about facing Curry and Thompson later.

Guy’s an idiot. Did he try to handwave away the 67 regular season wins or just hope nobody would notice them?
