The 2025 Papal Conclave

A Swiss Guardsman in a fantastic disguise.

Yes, it does seem like a bad idea to drive slowly with an open top; you’re completely vulnerable to bird droppings.

I have apparently been doing my citation referencing wrong the whole time…

On the internet, no one can tell whether you’re wearing pants.

As long as you remember not to stand up during the zoom meeting.

Reason to always have the “pants” filter installed and running.

I think you might have a marketable idea, there. Maybe there can be a “Showered and well-groomed” filter as well.

Well, the cat filter works for that. Cats are always clean & well-groomed. And nobody expects them to wear pants, so the lack is OK.

“I’m ready to proceed, Your Honor. I’m not a cat.”

That was one of the Great Online Moments.

Getting back to the Papal proceedings, I notice that his birthplace archdiocese is having a big celebration on the afternoon of the 14th at the White Sox stadium, with a video participation by the Pontiff. And yes, you have to go through TicketMaster. Not even the Church can avoid them.

Indeed it was.

No ticket agent can serve two masters!

CanLII is one of the main legal search engines in Canada.

If you get a 404, they replace their logo with the famous “lawyer who is not a cat” image.

I think we all know whether Ticketmaster is serving God or Mammon.

And they will not split orders between credit cards, meaning No Ticketmaster can serve two MasterCards..

I’m sure the KeyMaster and the GateKeeper fit in here someplace. They (Ticketmaster) are a pretty unholy outfit if ever there was one.

“TicketMaster the Fee-Imposer. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the fee-imposer came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many music and theater fans knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!”

Little known fact. Ghostbuster’s demon / whatever Zuul was named after a friend of mine with that name.

Go on.

As to HH’s love of baseball:
