The 30 Day Song Challenge, number 4: A Song That Makes You Sad.

Just for the record, I have decided that, by the time I post the next one (tomorrow, around 3pm AZ time) and every next one from here on, that is the deadline that a person can reply. If they haven’t replied by the time I post the next one, they’re out and don’t count as having done every one. I have to put a time limit on it somewhere, to prevent people from just bumping up all the old topics months after.

So…as of right now, these are all of the people who are eligible to be paid for doing the challenge with me, as they have replied to every one so far:

Drunky Smurf
Eddie The Horrible
Emtar KronJonDerSohn
Face Intentionally Left Blank
fachverwirrt
faithfool
Gatopescado
GuanoLad
Half Man Half Wit
Helena330
Jack Batty
journeyman_southpaw
kayaker
Mahaloth
Moonchild
panache45
Philliam
Sahirrnee
scabpicker
shunpiker
stillownedbysetters
TheInimitableMaven
WOOKINPANUB

Three posters… dada2fish, Poysyn, and RTFirefly, have replied to all of them so far but this one. If they still haven’t replied by the time I post the next one tomorrow, they’re out (but can still reply to these just for fun…as can anyone else).
If I’m mistaken about this list, let me know.

If those three make it in to this topic with their reply before tomorrow, then that’s currently 100 dollars split among 26 people, making it so each person gets about 3 dollars and 80 cents.

If those three do not make it in time, however, it will be 100 dollars split among 23 people, which will make everyone get about 4 dollars and 30 cents.

As this goes on, more and more might miss one or might not make a reply in time and this is good for the rest because their prize pool will continue growing with every person eliminated.

Trouble - Cat Stevens

Great selection - and was really powerful in “Harold Maude”.

Crud. It looks like I’m in for weeks of, “OMG Did I miss the latest one?? Where is it? Did I miss it?!?!”

Honestly. I had to put the headphones on and just cry.
Trom, thanks for the link. It looks a lot simpler when explained.

“Name” Goo Goo Dolls

Bobby McGee, Janis Joplin

A sad tale of lost love - “I’d trade all my tomorrows for one single yesterday”

gilbert o’sullivan

Can you post even if you didn’t sign up for the challenge? If not, disregard:

The entirety of the album Sea Change by Beck is heartbreaking, but I’ll pick its single Guess I’m Doing Fine as the standout.

Now I’ve bade a friend farewell
I can do whatever pleases me

It’s only lies that I’m living
It’s only tears that I’m crying
It’s only you that I’m losing
Guess I’m doing fine.
