I enjoyed the idea of Air America, but I got really turned off by it once I actually started listening. However, I always seem to catch Randi Rhodes, and … eesh, I can’t even bear two minutes of listening to her. She’s the liberal equivalent of Ann Coulter.
Al Franken’s show was mildly entertaining, the one time I caught it. I only have satellite radio in the car, though, and I wish they’d adjust their schedule for the loads of people like me who only listen while commuting.
When one thinks of the likes of Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly…those cooing, tender doves of the reactionary airwaves…brutally savaged by the sarcasm of Al Franken…one would have to have a heart of stone not to laugh out loud.
Those of us in Grand Forks remember ole Schultzie when he was a right-wing radio host. About 6 years or so ago he started really railing against UND and talking about how much better the Bison were. Most knew at that point he was losing touch.
And assuming you don’t know what I’m talking about (who the hell outside North Dakota would in this matter) you have no idea who he is and what he stands for. Neither does he. Don’t take a word he says at face value. Al Franken is more trustworthy than that ass-clown. Just saying is all.
Our sad experience suggests that Stephe won’t be deterred by mere facts.
The linked article indicates that one can buy all sorts of Bill O’Reilly-related stuff from his website: keychains, umbrellas, etc. But neither loofas nor filafels; what a missed opportunity.
Some conservatives must really feel threatened by Air America. First there was that other thread, I think in GD, where some righty thought AA had some kind of scandal (I remember s/he put “Wow!” in the title, like a kid seeing a bike under the Christmas tree), and now this slavering thread.
