The Alpocalypse anticipation thread

That video makes my pants feel … confused. I love the Madonna jab too, since the first time I heard “Born This Way” I thought it was Madonna.

Watched all the videos on the DVD that comes with the CD.

Yep, all animated (except the previously “leaked” video for “Craiglist”). All at about the same quality, though varying styles, as the Internet Leaks videos- though, I’d say the video for “Party in the CIA” stands out as being particularly good.

Interesting to Note:
This marks the first time Al has parodied a second generation of the same family!

I took the opportunity to write a quick reflection about Weird Al’s career on my blog. It’s odd to think that I’ve been listening to this guy for two thirds of my life.

We await his performances at the local zoo.

I don’t mean that tongue in cheek, or ironically, if you haven’t seen Al at the Toledo Zoo ampitheater, you haven’t seen him. Geographically and well, indigenously, it’s his Hollywood Bowl.

Well, I’m loving this. I’ve been listening to it on repeat for almost a week now. All the “old” songs are just as good as I remembered and hold up well, especially CNR (who knew he was such a bad-ass?) and Ringtone. I’ve even come around to liking Craigslist (at least the styrofoam peanuts bit at the end.)

Not a single dud among the “new” songs, IMHO. (just a borderline “meh” on “Another Tattoo”) I’m particularly fond of “If that isn’t love” (I’ve done the milk thing enough that my wife found it hilarious too) and “Stop forwarding that crap to me” (I have the ironic urge to send it to a few people in particular in my address book, but they’d just laugh and forward on to everyone they know with their next batch of glurge.)

Another triumph from his Royal Weirdness. Yay!

How…HOW…did I miss this? goes to download

Reviving this thread to point out that Comedy Central is showing Weird Al in Concert - the Alpocalypse Tour Saturday, October 1st. Never got to see him live - guess this is good enough for now.
