There is a lot of good stuff in the Patriot act and some not so good stuff, such as Title II: Enhanced surveillance procedures. Do you have objections to other sections. or is this more knee jerk “dump everything to get rid of the part parts?”

The Democrats need to be careful with this. If it’s true it’s a bomb and it almost certainly ends Boebert’s political career; it might end in prison. If it’s false or dubious it’ll be a serious overreaction of the riot. We will never hear the end of the “Democratic lies”.

I believe “The Democrats” are being quite careful. All Cohen is saying is he saw Boebert giving a tour on January 5, when tours were not allowed.
That’s all they are saying at this point.

I would assume the Capitol has a lot of security cameras. If she did, it’s on film.
Though Boebert had been defensive about it apparently even before Cohen named names, as there was chatter already. Her DC-experienced communications director quit citing the riot which I must believe means he disagreed with her about how to handle what they knew was coming.
You been looking at the Republican Party lately? That there’s one potential Convention Keynote Speaker.
Boebert is categorically denying that she gave any tours or had anyone in the Capitol other than a few relatives. It seems like this would be something that is fairly easy to check - aren’t all visitor entries recorded somewhere? Maybe she’s dumb enough to tell a lie here knowing she’ll be caught, but it’s also possible the accusations are mistaken.

The article doesn’t say. Take it up with DB; they’re the ones who are claiming Democrats are making the accusation. For the purpose of this discussion I’m assuming that it’s true unless I hear otherwise.
I’m not sure if we’d ever hear the phrase “Democratic lies” by the “Democratic Party” uttered in anger. They rarely are able to remember the correct name of the party.
Anyway, no matter what Democrats do or say, Republicans are going to scream “Democrat lies!” every time a Democrat speaks.
It’s part of the playbook, that way they can lie their asses off about everything like they always do…then scream both sides! when they get caught.

Why is that not surprising.
A magistrate in Arkansas let the guy who put his feet on Pelosi’s death out on house arrest. That decision has been overturned by a federal judge, who ordered him to be taken to Washington for a hearing.
They also scream “why can’t we just get along” and “It’s now time for healing not for blame” when they get caught.
