This year is the 50th anniversary of Sputnik - arguably even more important than the first person in space.
Well, maybe on October 4 Sputnik will merit GoogleArt, like Gagarin did.
Actually I thought that was a baseball at first glance, and I thought, “oh, it must be opening day baseball season”, but then I clicked on it and up came a Soviet cosmonaut.
My view is that each step is important, without somebody placing a Sputnick in orbit, there’d have been more trouble placing a Yuri in orbit.
I’m just celebrating one step.
