The anti-vaccination people are horrible, horrible "human beings"

Vaccinations will turn you gay.

In fairness to them, kids who die of polio are far less likely to grow up to be gay. So in that sense…

Maybe we can make some lemonade out of this one:

*If you think it’s tough making ends meet and providing for your own kids, just imagine the financial stress you’ll be under when those kids reproduce and start presenting you with GRANDCHILDREN! Tiny bundles of neediness which you will be legally FORBIDDEN to say “No” to! Dollies, X-Boxes, Ponies! You’ll be on the hook for the lot!

BUT! if you vaccinate your kids now, they’ll turn gay, and take the entire procreation problem off the table, and YOU out from behind the 8-ball!*

Sadly, this isn’t even the most repulsive claim made by the “vactruth” people.

They (along with some other antivax activists) give cover to child abusers by claiming that shaken baby syndrome is actually “vaccine damage”.

And we’ve had “vactruth” and other prominent antivaxers recently attempt to exploit racial hostility by falsely claiming that the CDC covered up data showing a connection between autism in black children and vaccines.

These people are so obsessed with advancing their anti-vaccine crusade that there’s seemingly no limit to the loathsome tactics they’ll employ, if they believe that will aid their cause.

Sorry for duplicate post.

I wish I could say this is the worst thing I’ve seen them write but it isn’t.

The worst is probably when Barbara Loe Fisher, head of the anti-vax National Vaccine Information Center (an Orwellian name if there ever was one) called the HPV vaccine the slut shot. This vaccine is primarily administered to children. My own eldest daughter got it whens she was all of ten. It is designed to prevent a virus that causes all kinds of cancers including head and neck cancers as well as side effects such as genital warts.

My ten year old daughter – the slut! Yeah.

I have been banned from her organization’s Facebook page for pointing out that parapertussis is not the same thing as pertussis. Even relatively mainstream anti-vax groups just plain suck.

Well, the anti-abortion crowd thinks abortion turns men gay

Fuck’s sake. I suspect we’ll start bleeding and trepanning patients before too much longer, as we slide ever backwards into the dark ages.

That is some wide range of symptoms for being the (non)father of an aborted fetus. Almost the same range from which some ordinary guy who is not the (non)father of an aborted fetus might conceivably draw from.

The dead polio victims I’ve meet are downright moribund.

Yeah, gonna go ahead and say that this is quite a bit more loathsome than “may turn your children gay”.

But now gay people can adopt, even that saving will be denied.

Thanks, Obama.

There is a trend for anti-whatever nuts to try to link anything and everything bad to their pet hate, no matter how ludicrously tenuous the connection. I guess they think it bolsters their cause to try to claim whatever they are against is the source of all evil in the world.

I’ve seen it with many fanatics.

Vaccines turn you into a Democrat. There is evidence that a majority of vaccinated adults voted for Obama in 2012.

So, being straight is like being a virgin now: one prick and it’s gone.

“Lie still and think of England?”

Precisely.

Poor, poor England with their Wakefield induced insanity and measles/pertussis outbreaks.

I’d pity those poor bastards more if we didn’t have even more of our own heads-firmly-up-asses antivaxxers spreading preventable disease around the US.

If there is justice in the world, someone will secretly vaccinate the kids of all of these whackjobs

Which would increase herd immunity and probably prevent a lot of cases but will only serve to reinforce the antivaxxers’ belief that “healthy living” and “natural exposure” to diseases will result in an impervious immune system and, “We don’t need no stinkin’ vaccinations!” rhetoric. It’d be better if we could immunize the kids publicly while secretly giving all the idiot parents whopping cases of whatever disease it is (assuming they are not vaccinated) so they could learn how big of a deal the disease is and how less painful it is for people who are immunized.

Twits.

Andrew Wakefield now lives in Austin, Texas. One can only hope legislators will introduce a bill deporting him back to the UK where he belongs.
