But I would not feel so all alone. Everybody must get stoned.
People don’t really still smoke pot, do they? All that stuff does is put you to sleep.
The world could really use a good nap right now.
Especially if your parade is shit and your sparklers are duds…
Certainly, if anyone actually falls into this group of “many”:
They are severely delusional.
“Severely delusional” would be looking at the current situation and believing that the Trump administration isn’t building death camps for immigrants, including legal immigrants, both inside and outside the US.
Not to mention that regarding those imprisoned in the camps and Due Process, never the twain shall meet.
At least we can look forward to a classy sign out front—something like this one, except with “Deathcamp” substituted for “Hotel”:
Wow! That’s definitely one of the claims of all times.
Says the pro-genocide guy. You want Trump to start mass murdering people.
And one actually based on empirical evidence. Perhaps you should try making some reality-based statements occasionally too.
Sorry, you’re talking about this claim?
What empirical evidence do you have that the Trump Admin is building literal death camps for immigrants, and what kind of pathetic coward are you, if you actually believe that and your response is to doompost about it online rather than taking up arms against a literal genocide?
In reality, I think we all know that you’re just virtue signaling about how terrified you are of Trump, you’re not actually stupid enough to think he’s building death camps.
Taking up arms would just get them killed for no gain.
Are you done trying to goad him into picking up a gun and commit violence?
Or are you going to move the goal posts and say “taking up arms” is you wishing he worked in a mannequin production factory?
No, since I don’t think the United States is committing a genocide, I don’t think that would be a reasonable course of action. I also think that @Gyrate is full of shit when he pretends that he does think that America is preparing to ship migrants to death camps.
It won’t be a genocide until MAGA starts chanting ‘From the Atlantic to the Pacific’ at rallies, maybe.
The rules can sometimes be unusual here. If you threaten someone or make jokes about them dying violently, then that’s it… no more posting. I get that, I respect that.
It’s a line that is not to be crossed.
But when you goad people to rise up and commit violence over and over and over again… knowing that if they tried it would likely end as ‘death by cop’… just how does the Board allow that?
If they don’t it’s " <he’s> full of shit ".
And if he does, then he’s dead.
It’s like the case of that girl in MA who berated and goaded her BF to commit suicide.
I don’t remember her name, but I remember she was charged, convicted, and did some time for it.
I get it… it’s not my Board… I don’t get to write the rules. That said, what you’re doing is not only wrong… it’s Evil. Who do you think you are? Steven Miller?
Michelle Carter, IIRC.
Yeah, that’s a major reason I stopped posting in Pit threads aimed at me, I got tired of all the totally-not-a-death-threats/wishes.
Remind us? What’s your rank in the IDF and, roughly, where are you posted?
Nah. It’ll be titled *Hotel Mario Let’s Go!"
I think the problem with the term genocide today is the same as with the term concentration camp. Far too many people believe each term has one and only one meaning. That is not the case. Putting people into camps based on a particular trait is putting them into concentration camps. Putting people in camps and then killing them is still putting them in concentratino camps. Murdering an entire group of people is genocide. Destroying a group’s culture is a genocide. Forcing a group of people to abandon the use of their language and use the dominant group’s language is still genocide. And relocating the entire group against their will is a genocide.
Maybe it’s a mistake to use the same term for different, but aligned, actions.
And, by the way, the United States has committed genocide in the past. And it’s blatantly obvious the current administration intends to do it again. Now, I don’t think they intend to murder every member of the group they are marginalizing, but they certainly do plan on incarcerting them, removing them, punishing them, and have already expressed they do not care if members of that group die while in custody. That shows me the administration is fine with people they put in custody, even those denied due process, dying there. Thus effectively those are death camps.
So, yeah. Our government is currently and actively committing genocide, just not the full blown murder of millions so many people think is the only meaning of the word.
(Sorry about the lame paragraphing above. I’m rather exhausted at the moment so I’m going to leave it as is.)
