Did you even read that post? It’s the history from 1947 of how the wording of the 22nd Amendment was changed by the Senate. It does not discuss anything about how it applies to Trump and especially I never said “Derp! There’s nothing anyone can do if he runs again despite the 22nd Amendment.” Can you quote where I said anything like that in the post or is this more proof that you cannot read for comprehension. You’re not even smart enough to be a dumbass if that is what you’re bringing as proof.

The Republicans, as far as I can tell, were clearly intending that there never be another FDR. That bit of stupidity on their part is something that we shouldn’t be trying to figure a way out of for them.

I’m serious. There isn’t enough manpower for a “massive campaign” on US soil. ICE is stretched to its breaking point as it is and they’re padding out their ranks with incompetent buffoons who are scared of old women in their pajamas and hipsters in inflatable frog costumes.
If he tries to deploy the military into US cities to prevent people from voting, governors will fight back and the result will be civil war, mass defections and defections, mass casualties civilian and military, and economic collapse.
It is a fundamental building block of our Constitution that the states are co-sovereign and have the right to elect the president and their representatives to Congress. If the federal government decides to abrogate that agreement, I would personally call on the governor of my state to deem the Union to have been dissolved and the sovereignty of the federal government invalid, and I wouldn’t be the only one.
ICE. The National Guard. Not to “stop voting” (at least that’s not what the excuse will be). To “restore order”. To “stop the rampant looting”. To “fight the out of control criminals”. So there will be court cases to stop them. These take time. By then, the election is over, and GOLLY! The turnout in certain cities will have plummeted. But elections happened. Nobody was prevented from voting, pinky promis. Oh well.
