The Atlanta mayoral race - at least we all know where Aaron Turpeau stands

Because apparently he thinks it’s more important to base a vote on skin color than on ability and has put out a memo clearly stating that preference and why it is important that the city mayor be black above all else.

Fun selections:

Got it. White people can’t understand black people or their needs and it’s more important to vote on one demographic detail rather than actual ability, knowledge, or skill. Apparently it’s more important to elect someone to continue the Maynard Jackson/Shirley Franklin political machine that seems pretty inherently flawed and failuriffic as opposed to actually attempting to improve things.

Really? I mean, I understand stuff like this goes on, but to so blatantly push for it in such a public way really makes me question the stupidity, ignorance, and racial biases of a society that really should at some point move past this kind of stuff.

Black people can be racist? Who’d a thunk it.

I didn’t think people capitalized ‘black’.

??? First word of the sentence. Usually capitalized.

Good for state Senator Kasim Reed:
