The Atoz Game (Part 1)

Round Robin storytelling, everyone submit a sentence, starting with the appropriate letter, of course

A steadfast young soldier, home from the War, sought to seek his fortune.
B ob (for that was his name) went first to his parents’ house, eager to see them after three long years away.
C hicken was cooking on the stove and Bob was starving for a home cooked meal.
D arling! You’re Home!”, his mother gushed with joy.
E xcitedly, Bob embraced his mother.
F ather will be home shortly,” she said. “I want you two to behave this time.”
G oing to the window, Bob saw his father coming to the door.
H aving denied his oedipal urges all these years, Bob felt an irrepressible rage rise within himself.
I ‘ll try to behave, Mother,” he said, “but it won’t be easy.”
J aw and fists clenched, eyes bulging, Bob waited by the window.
K illing had become easy for Bob.
L et’s see what he has to say before we act” his brother asked while lowering the rifle Bob had raised to meet his father…
M eh, you’re right,” Bob said to his brother Steve. “Put the rifle back in the closet; we know where it is if we need it.”
N egan entered the house, naively unaware of his sons’ patricidal conversation.
O edipus, still blerary-eyed after this sudden arousal from a long slumber next to the steady fire in Bob’s id, shrugged at the sight of Negan, then slowly shook his head and resumed his recumbency.
P OW!” went the gun.
Q uizzically, father looked at son, and son at father.
R obert Negan!”, the mother exclaimed with a scream!
S eems to me like you might’ve worked on your marksmanship a bit more while you were in the Army,” Negan said, unharmed and raising an eyebrow as he sat down in his easy chair.
" T ime for you to beg for your life!" Bob growled as he grabbed Negan by the neck.
U nless you want that rifle stuck up where the sun don’t shine, you’d better sit down and shut up because I’ve got something to tell you,” replied Negan.
( V entriloquist-like, Negan was still able to speak clearly while being throttled by Bob.)
W ith some reluctance, Bob obeyed his father and sat down, pushing aside his mother’s seven beloved cats (yes, even Beruthiel, Master Crumpet and Snookums) as he did so.
