Considered “the next Grace Kelly” by Hitch; she was supposed to star in Vertigo (1958) but was replaced with Kim Novak due to her pregnancy, which annoyed the director. He later punished her by casting Janet Leigh over her in Psycho (1960), and sticking her in the minor role of Leigh’s sister. It would be the best role Miles is remembered for.
