The bad, bad, bad gas costs too much thread

when get down to 3/4 tank I fill it back up again. I don’t drive much so it’s about thirty bucks a week.

Same here. I think I’ve put maybe 5,000 km on my vehicle in the past three years. Only difference is I spent my savings on an oscilloscope I’m not using. I should have bought the wine.

Nothing yet, because I have a job to find first. But I’d be happy with a hybrid Prius right now. I’d go totally electric but my HOA doesn’t support me rewiring my garage. It’s not attached to my unit so my HOA fee covers the cost of the electricity I do use out there for the lighting and garage door. They understandably don’t want to pay for charging my car.

Why can’t she sit in the R2 space?

Beep, beep whir, whistle

C-3PO: You watch your language!

Gas near me has finally dropped under $4.

Paid 3.95 this afternoon. Lets hope it keeps dropping.

There was a young lady named Beck
Who established herself as a wrek

She is known to love cats
Dogs and possums and bats

But she wished for an island
That was her very own land
And therein live it up all to heck.

A veritable Lord Byron!!

Gas for my motorcycles

Airline tickets, chocolate diamonds, electric toilet snakes, sheepskin seat covers for cars that haven’t been made yet…

Oddly specific, Mr. Fishy

Thanks. High praise coming from somebody Specifically Odd

Hey, now, I understand what that meant.

Aww, you’re such a sweetheart

I don’t own a car. :astonished: :open_mouth: :flushed:

So I bought a model railway instead.

The GDLNER railway with dcc sound - YouTube

That’s beautiful! What gauge is that? It looks like it might be G scale.

No, Lord Byron would have written a proper limerick. Mine has two extra lines, but I took artistic liberties! :grinning:

Thank you!
It’s OO gauge.
The engines and carriages etc are from Bachmann and the track is from Peco.

That’s a great choice. I believe that’s very similar to HO. The trains look much bigger in the video, which is a testament to the realism. I had two HO scale trains as a kid, and my dad built a big plywood table in the basement on which we built some pretty elaborate layouts and scenery. Like yours, it had an elevated section and a bridge overpass.

Apologies to Beck for hijacking her cost-of-gas thread.

Jeebus, gas is expensive these days!
