The banh mi club

Honestly it looks more Californian/Southwestern/Mexican influenced to me with the turkey, avocado, cilantro, and bacon than it does Vietnamese. I’m not trying to be a purist dick about it; it’s just that if I saw something described as a “banh mi club” on a menu, and got that sandwich, I’d be perplexed to say the least.

The second sandwich is what I’d consider “banhmiesque,” though.

Fair enough; it doesn’t taste remotely Southwestern to me (except maybe the avocado). Sriracha doesn’t taste like anything except SE Asia to me.
