don’t get so picky like those nerd fans are about The Simpsons. they can sure knock the fun out of that show.
on The Simpsons there are plenty of cultural gags visually and lines. if you don’t get them they just fly past. no big deal.
you can make some nerd jokes deep, but if they get too deep not enough people get them. that is a show about science nerds. while the nerdiness of our culture has increased some it is not deep, still appliance operators. people may go to education beyond high school though not much in science. the show keeps things mostly superficial to catch more people. now there are the real equations on whiteboards which are real easter eggs though the show is good without them (i haven’t found accounts of listing them for seasons 1 and 2, there is some for later seasons).
