They played Wii bowling in the past.
Plebian video game system? I’m not even sure what that means.
Anyway, the guys have played Wii in the past as well as WoW and Halo (which Penny crushed Sheldon at). So I think “no fanboyism” is part of the roommate agreement.
Who says she has to use her hands?
Because I misspelled it?
Ah - I didn’t start watching till last season. I could easily see Sheldon disdain the Wii since it’s enjoyed by small children and retirees.
Her feet are pretty terrifying as well, but I’d be fine & dandy about any other body part.
Sir! I demand satisfaction! Zappers at 15 paces! Do you require a second?
I was up to now blissfully ignorant of her feet and hands. Somehow I never make it to those extremities.
I do not understand your offense. If you read my sentence to include the word “solely”, that was not my intent. If your offense is due to an implied insult to Sheldon by my inference that he would make such an assumption, fair enough. However, as the challenged party, I believe weapons and circumstances are at my discretion, not yours. Would you be amenable to 8 year olds playing Wii bowling?
I understand you didn’t include the word “solely”, but my problem was the implication that the Wii was somehow a lesser console because little kids and retirees play it.
A. Little kids and retirees play the PS3 and 360 too, just not in as large numbers.
B. The Wii is no less powerful than the PS2/Xbox/GameCube and we know Sheldon has no problem playing older video games.
C. Regular gamers play the Wii in extremely large numbers (I believe the top ten best selling games of this generation all belong to the Wii)
To sum up, knocking the Wii because of the little kids/retirees argument just makes you sound like an ignorant fanboy.
Ah. I am not knocking the Wii at all. I own a Wii, and enjoy it immensely. I was saying it would be believable for Sheldon to knock the Wii, for the reasons many ignorant fanboys knock the Wii. So at best, I’m saying that it would be plausible for the writers to make Sheldon an ignorant fanboy (since I had not seen any episodes involving Sheldon playing the Wii when I formed my hypothesis). Got it?
The guys have a Wii Bowling League, so any argument about Sheldon belittling the Wii is moot.
Sheldon: “Nothing is more important than Wii Bowling Night!”
Thanks, Terminus. That argument was getting silly.
