Every Big Bang thread with this kind of conversation veer needs a link to The Rule of Funny. The show follows the rule like a religious edict.
Even though in reality a barely-minted PhD wouldn’t be making near what Howard would be pulling down as a JPL engineer, no matter how large her signing bonus.
Is that what we’re calling them now? Although they did look great in red.
They’ve gotta get her out of bed in those little nighties. As much as admire her top, I’d like to check out her legs too.
That was a fine moment, indeed.
I’m late watching this episode, but I agree about Sheldon. He is aloof and uncaring, but not intentionally cruel. I could tell it was going to be a weird episode when Leonard decided to move out even before the opening credits. I did enjoy the episode but the plot and character behavior were off.
I liked the B plot, I thought it was hilarious. Especially when Raj asked if Howard’s mother was going to bathe him and Howard said something like “I wish I could say no.”
The Burning Man idea reminds me of the Reno 911 episode when they went to Burning Man. That could be funny.
That apartment layout would constitute a pretty crazy looking building.
I keep imagining one or more of the guys ending up wandering around naked in public, possibly under the influence of drugs.
They did the drug thing once already in the episode where the guys went to see the meteor shower and got some ‘special’ brownies from the two 50-something women (teachers?). It was the same episode where Penny fell in the shower and Sheldon helped her.
“The Adhesive Duck Deficiency”
I figure if Penny’s bedroom went behind the stairwell instead of sticking out the back, you could kind of get it looking reasonable.
Sheldon was clearly given a jerk ball to further along the plot.
And as someone who hasn’t read the Harry Potter series, just because I know that Dumbledore dies doesn’t mean I knew it was in the sixth book/movie. Not that I care that much, but it’s in character for Leonard to care.
I was thinking more along the lines of a hallucinogenic like shrooms instead of just pot. Or ectasy; just imagine* Sheldon *after dropping E?
I think they’ve shown they’re not above rehashing old bits… this episode alone has two recycled plotlines, as both “Leonard and Sheldon break up” and “Leonard moves to fast for Penny” have been seen before.
I haven’t much liked the show this season. To me it seems a bit haphazard and disjointed. I don’t know whether it’s because it is, or it just seems like it because I’m watching an episode a week instead of binging on DVRed episodes like I did for all the other seasons.
I really need to get busy and get my DVR set up as I miss most of the episodes (including the one being discussed).
Just watch online - they are there for anyone to pull CBS TV Network Primetime, Daytime, Late Night and Classic Television Shows
They’ve also done the naked in public thing. In 422, Raj tested out a new drug for his social anxiety. He approaches a girl in a coffee shop and is able to talk to her but, just when they seem to be hitting it off, he starts removing his clothes.
Sheldon showed a planet when drunk.
