My main point was that it was the 2nd question she asked after Meemaw told her she would not be getting it.
To Sheldon: “you have an engagement ring?”
“Penny, did you know about this?”
is not odd that Amy asked this question, I think it was odd that it was the 2nd question she asked.
According to IMDB, Estelle Parsons just turned 88, and her only credit in the last 10 yrs was a on “The Good Wife” in 2013. Her health may not be all that good.
I think Holland Taylor might have made a good Meemaw.
A lot of in family nicknames like “Meemaw” just happen because a toddler mispronounces a word and it sticks. Edwin Aldrin was called “Buzz” because when his baby sister tried to call him “brother” it came out “buzzer” and “Buzz” stuck.
Meemaw was on a mission to check out that tramp who hurt her Moon Pie. Sure, her Moon Pie had already taken off at least once abandoning Amy, but that didn’t matter; Amy isn’t her Moon Pie, Sheldon is. I’m reminded of a Mama bear looking out for her cub. And you can’t blame the actor in a sitcom for the writing or the direction.
I caught what could be a bit of a continuity error. In Season 8 Episode 11 “The Clean Room Infiltration” Shamy had agreed with each other not to exchange Christmas presents. So of course, they surprise each other with gifts. Amy gave him a box of Christmas cookies made from Meemaw’s recipe. Amy must have gotten the recipe from Meemaw; if Mary had it, wouldn’t she have made those Christmas cookies for Sheldon? So, there’s a chance Amy and Meemaw were acquainted enough for a one way recipe swap via phone, perhaps. I don’t see Meemaw as an emailer type.
I just got her mixed up with someone else, who I in turn got mixed up with someone else again, and in the end wasn’t even close to thinking of who you were talking about.
I’ve seen Jennifer Coolidge in a couple of things. She is very weird.
Jennifer Aniston is less than 16 years older than Kaley Cuoco, and they look even closer in age than that. Are you going to explain this as Penny’s mother being 14 when she got married? Does Aniston look remotely like someone who’s lived on a farm all her life (unless you’re going to have her change the way she dresses and wears her hair completely).
