Great Googly Moogly, I’m anti-Bush too, but why does that mean you have to be anti-Bush’s-Daughters too?

Do I think George is a good leader? No. Do I think he is a compassionate executive officer? No. Do I think his loyalties lie with the “good ol’ boy” network? Yes. Would I ever in a million years vote for him for any office? Hell no!

But to say he is not a good leader because his teenaged children are doing the same thin that every parent’s teenaged children are doing is stupid!

George, you’re throwing luxuries at your oil partners.
George, you’re screwing the environment by opening protected areas for drilling.
George, you’re sinking the lower class lower by cutting social programs.
George, you’re sinking us into debt by giving tax benefits to the rich.

All valid, if debateable, arguments.

George, your teenagers are drinking.
Oh, yeah, let’s impeach him for that.

Sheesh.

I didn’t say that this was impeachable. I was just saying what it IMPLIES, and isn’t politics all about keeping appearances?

Yes, the Bush girls are 19 and they will do stupid things, but they ought to have enough common sense to prevent Dad from looking bad.

Unfortunately. A sentiment this “news story” is perpetuating.

It “appears” that our president is not a good guy because of something someone he is related to did. [ahem - Billy, Ron Jr., Roger - cough]

Nevermind that he’s screwing this country right to the ground (in a hope of striking oil, no doubt), it’s his parenting skills that have me worried.

Seriously, there are soooo many reasons to dislike Dubya as a person and a politician. Why are we pointing to this frivolous nothing of an occurance as an indication of his ineptitude.
