I was driving southward along Meridian and I believe that the permanent 46nd street light got me or the 52nd. A green car across the way (I think a Pontiac) had some piece torn or unlit on the lower part of its face and overall showed the appearance of a skull.
Memories are untrustworthy, except for those records of what force I feared against any part of me while I drive. If someone in is a car higher than mine (minivan, etc.), there is always a gun pointed at my head. It’s not going to happen much, but I am diligent.
Ah, cabdude, I see now what you’re getting at with your little post. That’s fine, that’s fine.
Despite the name of the forum, I think may posts in here are “Mindful Pointed Things I Choose to Share (MPTICS).”
I’ve given you an observation of an activity within an important City, and that may be enough for you and it may not. It’s a reference, it’s a data point. Whether some dismiss it as unimportant or not doesn’t bother me since some will apply it to their benefit.
Sorry if I seemed flippant or derisive, Aeschines, but the impression I got from your post was that your experience was an hallucination, or being in a state of altered consciousness, and that as a result, perhaps your medication should be altered before you do some permanent damage to yourself or others.
I believe now you are extracting urine from certain other posters who have chosen to post mindless and pointed posts. If that is the case, I see your irony, although it may have been a little too obtuse to be penetrated immediately. Perhaps the title of the forum was also chosen with tongue planted loosely in cheek.
I too suffer from occasional acid reflux - I recommend seeing a physician as it may be the precursor to a stomach ulcer.
Eh, most things they can treat you for they can’t really treat you for. And when they can’t treat you at all, you’d better treat yourself. I do take bicarb but no hallucinations from that, I assure you.
But cabdude, if you will review the OP you’ll see that it really is a data point about the Circle City that can be accepted or put in the pocket (they’ll have a hard time getting rid of it). But it is useful to anyone who reads it, and I think that those who silently, without comment, observe and maybe add their own points (whether given to me/us) or not will benefit even more than those who comment.
I’m not “taking the piss” if that’s what you mean, heh. Those were experiences (or a unified “expire-ience” if indeed some fear in me did expire, for I think the acknowledging of a fear [as a I did] will cause a triumph over the it, a transcending, and if you must a killing of it, but I would call it a giving it life to another way).
I used to take bicarb, milk also helped. But knocking out H. Pylori is the best way to approach the problem, occasionally a Nexium ™ to calm the acid.
Aeschines, I think I see what you mean. I can learn nothing by commenting, only by observing. I’ll leave the obvious paradox for someone who cames later.
I think it’s interesting that most of the people posting here (I except cabdude, who is wise) do not understand the concept of “data point,” yet those who are not posting do understand it.
