So I have to admit, I am hooked on anything to do with gambling and TV. So even though “The Casino” is fairly lame I still watch it.
I live in Canada and I watched it on one of our Canadian “networks” (CTV).
So the girls of “Trashy Lingerie” come out and blamo they are showing bare breasts right there in prime time!
I assume the audience south of the 49th saw blurred out boobies (after the Janet Jackson incident), but could someone verify this for me?
Thanks!

I didn’t watch it, but I’m going out on a limb here and say there were no bare breasts in the US.
Last weekend, I was visiting my parents, who live about 10 miles south of the Canadian border, so they get CBC and CTV affiliates. I noticed that “The Osbornes” was on CJOH at 10:00 pm, so as I watched the first couple of minutes, Jack said “Cunt”. It took me a few beats to realize it, but I looked at my husband and said, “Did he just say ‘cunt’?”. So we continued to watch the rest of the show. There was no bleeping at all. Fuck this, fuck that. There was a warning at the end of each commercial break about offensive language. Watching “The Osbornes” with no bleeping is surreal. It’s less interesting, in a way. I don’t know why that is.
Anyway, we told my brother about it and he said that CJOH had shown “The Sopranos” with swearing and nudity left in. So I suppose that is the norm in Canada?
Sadly, we had no boobies. But instead of your basic blurred-out censoring, they covered 'em with oversized casino chip graphics.
Yup. (I think it’s the norm in the English-speaking world, with the United States being the oddity.)
It wasn’t blurred out on our broadcast, but there were superimposed graphics of big (and I do mean big) casino chips.
Now with the question out of the way, stop watching The Casino and go watch Discovery’s ‘American Casino’ instead. It’s actually good.
I would love to see “American Casino”. But Discover Channel Canada isn’t carrying it! Not that I’m bitter. We also don’t get the Celebrity Poker tournament (we do get Celebrity Black Jack oh GSN), or the World Series of Poker (we will see, just a few months down the road).
