The cat died unexpectedly [edited title]

So sorry. It is so hard to lose them suddenly.

:frowning: I’m so sorry for your loss, Johnny. :frowning:

I’m sorry, Johnny.

Johnny, I’m so sorry. I want to say something else, to help ease the hurt, but, there just isn’t anything. RIP Harvey :frowning:

So sorry to hear of your loss. RIP Harvey.

Is the vet going to do an autopsy? :frowning:

A real shame; at least he didn’t suffer long. The little critters really get into your head and heart.

I lost my cat recently. It’s heartbreaking. Especially when it’s unexpected. So sorry for your loss.

I’m so sorry to hear about your little kitty. He sounds like he was an awesome little guy too. :frowning:

I’ve posted Harvey’s remembrance thread.

Zabali_Clawbane: No, there will be no autopsy. Sometimes cats get sick, and there’s no apparent cause.

Chefguy: The SO’s previous cat had cancer. She says she was selfish and kept her alive too long, knowing that she was in pain. (She did have her put to sleep.) Harvey was fine in the morning, and sick that night. He was gone the next day. I wish he didn’t have to suffer as long as he did, but it wasn’t drawn out over weeks or months. I just wish one of us had been home earlier so that he would have had someone with him for a few more hours. I wish I had been there with him when he died at the vet’s office. I would only have been in the way, but I want to have been there for him at the end.

Since there’s another thread, I’ll close this one.
