It’s comin’, it’s comin’. My employers are making me work today.

I will do the final scoreboard soon after the New Year. Ahem: the thread for the 2005 game is right here.
Not to embarrass anyone – but are there contestants who haven’t made it to the scoreboard yet?
Virgins ! Virgins!!!
Bring out the VIRGINS!
Former major-league baseball catcher and manager Johnny Oates has died at the age of 58. I don’t know if anybody picked him for this year, but I know he was a 2005 selection for several posters. (Link is to New York Times, and thus requires free, non-intrusive registration.)
Just a quick note to let everyone know that I’ve changed my name. Just one more thing to keep track of…
Nobody picked Johnny Oates for the 2004 game.
I have to give a BIG FAT PAT on the BACK to you A35362 for doing such an outstanding job on this Dead Pool this year and volunteering to run it for the next.
Clearly, you are mental! and we are grateful!
The question we want to know is: 1) are you dead 2) how many points are you worth? 3) Are you on my list?
I’m not dead yet, but if I were, I’d be worth 59 points.
And if I’m on your list, you’ve broken the rules.
(American) football great Reggie White, who once held the NFL’s record with 198 career sacks of opposing quarterbacks, was worth 57 points if anybody selected him.
Nobody picked Reggie White for either 2004 or 2005.
:sigh: He was one of the last good guys in American sports. He was also Zamboni Dad’s age. That scares me.
What about Dopers who are celebrities? If the Pope or Mr.Ford was typing away in here, then in theory we couldn’t vote for them
Oh and welcome Your Eminence. Some excellent threads
As of yet I still believe I have a big fat zero. I’m wondering if all the people on my list are happy about that? I just need to hold out a few more days.
There were 35 who had not scored as of Sept. 1 (post# 559). Eight of them made it to the scoreboard since, leaving 27 who have been shut out.
These people deserve some sort of condolence prize. How about the “Spared by Death” Award?
