I’m so going to hell.
Evan Allan died this week (at the non-scoring age of 106). He was the last Australian veteran of active service in World War I.
I made my roomate look at me funny and possibly worry about my sanity/sadism. When he informed me that Rosa Parks just died (he was on the net and I was watching TV) I replied “Good!” looking mighty pleased.
I then had to explain to him the CDP on the SDMB.
Not that I was happy, actually. The world has lost a great person. I just found that my first thought and reaction was pretty…well, morbidlike. : /
Of course, I feel slightly bad now (and my roomate, no doubt will be sleeping with one eye open).
Or when you hear about their death and get pissed off - not because they died, but because you were going to pick them for next year’s list.
