The Celebrity Death Pool 2005

Make that five out of thirteen.

CNN is reporting that John Spencer, who played Leo McGarry on The West Wing, has died of a heart attack.

:frowning: I loved his portrayal of Leo. How sad.

Does the kick-ass cazzle link still work? I need to be reminded of who I picked, and I don’t feel much like wading through 23 pages. (OK, I’m also eager to know my score post-Pryor.)

It’s still functional, though it hasn’t been updated in a few days.

HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden

Weird… it works for me.
I don’t really want to put the direct link because I don’t want the Google spiders to pick it up.

Try this one:

Still no love… I can get to the /deathpool.htm but not the .xls

Ok, it should work now (hopefully). Looks like my host change their setup and I had to enable read permission for the file.

Err… scratch that. My host have introduced new server software and NOTHING BLOODY WORKS ANYMORE. Give me some time to a) scream at them or b) change hosts… or c) all of the above.

Anyone who wants the file can post here and I’ll email it to them.

I take back all the hatred for my webhosts. They just fixed the problem. Either of the above links should work fine now.

Lok

Jack Anderson has died…

So has former Chancellor of the Exchequer Anthony, Lord Barber

I don’t think anyone had him, but noted mobster Vincent “The Chin” Gigante is dead at 77.

Argentina Brunetti, who played Mrs. Martini in It’s a Wonderful Life and Dean Martin’s mother in The Caddy, has died at the age of 98. The veteran character actress also wrote a weekly column for Canadian and Italian publications, and was a founding member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which annually awards the Golden Globes.

Vincent Schiavelli, the character actor noted for such roles as inmate Frederickson in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and science teacher Mr. Vargas of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, has died at the age of 57.

Here’s my take on the most likely to die:

1.Dick Clark

  1. Don Ho

  2. Elizabeth Taylor

  3. Fidel Castro

  4. John Wooden

  5. Kirk Douglas

  6. Nancy Reagan

  7. Queen Elizabeth II

  8. Marcel Marceau

  9. Jerry Falwell

  10. Lou Rawls

  11. Tammy Faye Bakker

  12. Ashley Simpson

Alternates:

Hulk Hogan

Boris Yelsten

Psst! Long Time First Time! You might want to repost that list here.
Meanwhile Australia’s richest man, Kerry Packer, has died at the age of 68.

But if Long Time does manage to win the 2005 death pool with his list, I think we really need to alert the authorities.
