The Celebrity Death Pool 2010

If only the peacemaker had a pacemaker.

He put his heart into everything he did.

Peter Graves now requires a Peter Grave.

I guess he self destructed

I was watching an Episode of MST3K today, and they made a similar pun. I knew the name, but not the person.

He petered out.

Peter Graves: another fine set of hair and pretty cool voice off the mortal coil. Damn. Now I have that MI show tune stuck in me head.

Unseemly as it is, my first thought on reading this news a few minutes ago (Peter Graves’ passing) was a small YAY! - quickly followed by an “oh no!” Even though he’s been on my list for the past several years - some of them as an alternate - I do hope that was not a jinx for him. May he rest in peace.

I wonder if he thought he would need more than one for some reason.

Didn’t die of Graves’ disease, though, apparently.

Relax. Any death pool, (like prayer, curses and wishing really really hard), has no effect upon the cosmos whatsoever. It’s all a game. Like prayer, curses and wishing really really hard.

Did anyone have Graves on their list? – From any year?

“Peter Graves, because I believe this actor will self destruct”

That would have been comedy gold.

Wow, he was 4 days from his 84th.

Incidentally, I just realized, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an episode of the show. Or the Tom Cruise films.

So I took a quick peek at the TV Tropes page.

How does the original Mission Impossible TV show stack up against PrisonBreak* ?

*Season 1 if you please, Seasons 3 and 4 never happened. Season 2 was good, but only really worked if you knew the first season. First two seasons were GREAT, and like I said, the show only had 2 seasons.

He Pingping, the world’s shortest man dead at 21. I don’t think anyone had him. We came up short.

He Pingping, not looking well at 21 either. 2’5" Wow. It’s gotta be a cheap funeral.

Been gone for three weeks. Just dropping in to check. Nope, zero points.

Alex Chilton croons no more: http://www.imdb.com/news/ni1808228/

Wayne Collett, whose silver-medal-winning performance in the 1972 Olympic 400-meter run was overshadowed by his failure to stand at attention during the medals ceremony, has died at the age of 60. For chatting during the playing of The Star-Spangled Banner, Collett was banned from the rest of the Games, as was USA teammate and gold medalist Vince Matthews.

Fess Parker, who I thought died about 15 years ago, is dead.

I just saw about Fess.

As I was checking in on someone else.

I thought Cedric The Entertainer had died [He didn’t]. Tell me I’m not the only one.
