The Celebrity Death Pool 2010

No you don’t; you have Marilyn Horne.

Darn it! Eight points lost!

Nah, she was part of the “not worth listing under ten points” category. I figured she’d live another 10 years easy. On the other hand, I figured most of my list would be pushing up daisies by now. Nope. They’re all living forever, the selfish swine.

Frank Frazetta, whose art graced many books as well as Conan the Barbarian and Tarzan comics, has died at the age of 82.

Erica Blasberg LPGA pro-golfer, dead at age 25.

Damn.

Ah, yes. I always described his style as Tits-n-Lizards.

That so much of his work ended up on the sides of vans in the mid to late '70s in no way diminishes his artistic ability.

My favorite Frazetta.

Sad, I remember him and the Whiz Kids. Never a Phillie fan (actually a Dodger fan), I really respected him. A great guy.
He has such an alliterative (sp?) name. I believe there is a news reporter (a woman) who has the same name.

Robin Roberts, co-host of ABC’s Good Morning America, and breast cancer survivor.

Doris Eaton Travis, last of the legendary Ziegfeld Follies chorus girls, died Tuesday at age 106.

so that’s negative 6 points to all who had her on their lists.

Dammit, they’re both singers, same last name, “M” comes right after “L”.

Burt Reynolds just had life-saving QUINTUPLE bypass surgery.

Here I was, thinking that there was only 4 chambers to bypass.

You don’t bypass chanbers – you bypass plugged blood vessels. I think this surgery is for those leading into or away from the heart, but I’m not certain of that.

Well, as it was billed as being “life-saving”, it would seem the Reynolds has at least 7 more months now.

We talked about his career, right?

Anyone have in earnest?

Neither. Bypass surgery replaces the cardiac arteries, which supply blood to the heart muscle, not into or out of the pumping chambers.

Does this mean he’s not going to be on Burn Notice after all? Priorities, man!

So Dana Plato’s son committed suicide

It’s just very sad.
