The Celebrity Death Pool 2010

Do they go to Mime School to be mimes, or do they go because they’re actors and they want to be better actors? Mime is important in acting; it’s not all about the dialogue.

Shields was a mime. He was performing as a mime when Marceau came across him. Yarnell was a dancer.

We need to pass a law revoking any police or Homeland Security protections for mime schools or clown colleges.

Yeah, but I meant the typical person who goes to mime school.

Dancing is just rhythmic mime.

She gets raped by Paul Newman, as I recall.
The kid from Shane was also in Hud. He was also in In Harm’s Way with Patricia Neal.
Great bar fight scene in Hud.

Y’all are forgetting her most notable accomplishment - her comeback in the early 70s (late 60s?) from the stroke that almost killed her. * The Homecoming* was her first post stroke appearance. I was quite disappointed when they cast Michael Learned in her role for the TV version - *The Waltons *. Neal had a much stronger presence than Learned

Man, that is really cold.
And tacky.
And darn mean.

Not mean. Totally self-absorbed maybe.

  1. Valid picks are not:

a. already dead
b. a fictional character
c. non-human
d. under age 18 at death
e. a registered member of the SDMB, 'cause that would be weird
f. political prisoners, 'cause we’re macabre but not THAT macabre.
g. famous solely as a result of their illness or associated actions/events.

Pertinent rule bolded.

That would not be good for any points. And it would be extremely weird.

Former Alaskan Sentor Ted Stevens believed to have died in plane crash.

Reminds me of this comment I made:

I was just about to post this. According to the story, former NASA administrator Sean O’Keefe was in the same plane. There is a Washington Post story that says they believe five of the nine abord are dead, but that rescue crews have not yet reached the scene. Which suggests at least one radio or cell phone remained intact and at least one person to make a call.

The intertubes are shattering.

I noted in my post that one of the tragedies of amarone’s demise would be that it would be yet another pointless death.

Is there a record for longest consecutive scoreless streak? I got no points last year, and have none this year…I gotta be a contender for something…

The Derisive Laughter Award.

I’m going to put only centenarians on my list next year, so that I surely will have the highest negative score in history.

Death confirmed

Guess ol’ Ted was on The Plane to Nowhere …

No circling the drain for Ted. He dove straight in.
