Zsa Zsa’s back in the hospital again. Ho hum.
Quoth Div: Who’s she visiting?
Death happens in threes, but I cannot think of three people more dissimilar than Andy Rooney, Joe Frazier, and Heavy D, who died within three days of each other:
Rooney was known as a writer and TV speaker, a member of the WWII generation, lived to be very old.
Joe Frazier, boxer, a member of the Woodstock generation, died middle aged.
Heavy D, rapper, a member of the 1990’s culter, died young.
One thing they had in common. All three died unexpectedly of natural causes. Usually you either have a long deathwatch, like Zsa Zsa Gabor or Steve Jobs, or a surprise death not due to natural causes, like Amy Winehouse or Cory Smoot.
And maybe it’s just my age talking, but is 67 really considered middle-aged?
No, Rooney and Frazier’s death watches had been announced prior to their demises.
Andy Rooney was 117 years old. It’s not like his death was *that *unexpected.
When he got to the Pearly Gates, he told St. Peter, “Death is funny. It’s permanent, but you live on in people’s memories. That reminds me of the time…”
How come we never update this thread when she checks out of the hospital?:D:dubious:
But it was only a week or so before. Not like the usual case where you know somebody’s been ill for months before they die.
