That’s generally not the case with pancreatic cancer.
So she’s only mostly dead?
nestles into handbasket, rings bell to begin descent
All kidding aside, I hope she makes it out of this okay. Brain injuries are nothing to mess around with.
Sadly I am on the board with my hero. Richard Winters, made famous by Stephen Ambrose and the Band of Brothers miniseries passed away at age 92.
I can’t find any online report of his death.
Google “Dick Winters” and you will find plenty.
Ah, I googled richard winters.
Vaya con Dios, good sir.
He’s also the headliner at legacy.com right now. (Which I swear I was looking at for work :))
Michael Douglas declares himself “cancer free”. Tumor be Gone

**Former AFL star Cookie Gilchrist dies at 75 **
Great name and a very good player.
**From the article:
“Gilchrist’s alluring nickname belied the notion that he might easily crumble. He was a 251-pound bruiser, and his grit and single-mindedness extended beyond the football field. He took stands against racism and wasn’t afraid to demand better contracts.
Carlton Chester “Cookie” Gilchrist joined the Bills of the AFL in 1962 and spent three seasons there. He was the league’s player of the year in 1962, when he had 1,096 yards rushing and a league-leading 13 touchdowns. In 1964, Gilchrist and quarterback Jack Kemp led the Bills to their first of two straight AFL championships.”
**
Well I do have him on my list, but I’m glad to hear this too.
Damn damn damn.
The wrong ones are dying. WTFis up with dat?
No. It’s the wrong ones that are getting better. At this point I would be surprised to see Arial Sharon get up in the morning and dance a jig.
I shall watch The Dresser tonight in honor of Peter Yates. “My Life…will have to do.”
So did anyone pick Douglas, Franklin, and Yauch? Because they could market their healing touch.
Yauch was a unique pick for VunderBob, who also had Douglas but not Franklin.
Danny Buchanan gravely ill.
