Is Alex Kirst any relation of Whitey (Whitehorn) Kirst, guitarist for Iggy Pop in the 1990’s to now? Whitey is from my city, and some people who I know, know Whitey.

I just posted the obit because I’m bored at work. I really haven’t cared one way or the other about Iggy Pop since about 1978, and only guess that he’s still alive since his drummer was just killed.
But I’m sure there’s a wealth of information out there, waiting to be found.
