Kenneth Mars of “The Producers” and “Young Frankenstein” off stage at age 75.

Belated entry: Ken Olson, co-founder of Digital Equipment Corporation, died Feb. 6 at age 84.

Gino Cimoli, who was the leadoff batter in the first Major League Baseball game in California, has died at the age of 81. Cimoli, who had scored the last run for the Brooklyn Dodgers in Ebbets Field the previous September, led off for the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Giants at San Francisco’s Seals Stadium on April 15, 1958. Like the Dodgers, the Giants had moved from New York after the 1957 campaign.

Cliff Dapper, who had the unusual distinction of being traded for an announcer, passed away at 91. Dapper had only a “cup of coffee” in the majors as he played eight games with the Dodgers in 1942, but was in the team’s farm system when he was sent to the minor-league Atlanta Crackers six years later in exchange for broadcaster Ernie Harwell. Harwell, who was acquired by Brooklyn as a temporary replacement for the ailing Red Barber, later became the long-time radio voice of the Detroit Tigers.

Sounds interesting; I’ll have to check those movies out. Thanks.

Neptune’s Daughter scene.

Anyone have Steve Jobs on their list?

EXCLUSIVE DETAILS: Steve Jobs Receiving Treatment At Cancer Clinic Where Patrick Swayze Was Patient

Steve Jobs Is Receiving Cancer Treatment at a Clinic in Stanford, According to the National Enquirer

Len Lesser, Uncle Leo from Seinfeld, has died at 12 points…I mean 88 years old.

Jerry! Good-Bye!!

Ah, that was what I was trying to think of. Thanks!

I had a whole bunch of theme lists; neocons, evangelicals, talking heads, philandering politicos, hipocrite homophobes, dying sport stars, etc…

But no “North African, Middle Eastern, Southwest Asian autocrats about to exit stage right” list. None have actually kicked yet and they are old for the most point - but it looks good for quantity at least (I’m at zero, again):frowning:

I also see Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) shedding the teenager image with a barrage of “Bs”. Booze, Beer, Bongs, Blow, Boobs, and Butts in her “breakout”. I’m not buying this “missionary in Indonesia” stuff. Kind of a Lindsay Lohan junior (is there a feminine equivalent to junior:confused:).

Self-induced fish slap.

Dave Duerson, safety for Superbowl champs 1985 Bears, dead at 50.

Hmf. A defensive back. What happened to the linemen all dying, huh?

If it spreads to North Korea, I’m golden.

Ruled a suicide. He left instructions that he wanted his brain examined for ''chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), or what used to be known as “punch drunk.”

Perry Moore, co-producer of the 3 Narnia films, has died, cause unknown.

Andrew Baur, banking mogul and co-owner of the St. Louis Cardinals, dead at 66.

I’m kind of amazed that an out gay man was a Walden Media exec, working on the evangelical dream project… I would have expected much, much less from that particular Christian community.
