The Celebrity Death Pool 2011

Henry Fogle, last surviving member of the crew that built the Golden Gate Bridge, dead at 97.

Weird that somebody keeps track of stuff like that.

Don’t forget. Many Christians boycotted Walden books back around 1989/1990, so they have not always been super Christian friendly. They sold pornography at the stores.

I think that is the same company as this Walden that makes the movies, but I could be wrong.

I think Walden books became those Borders Express stores you see sometimes.

Speaking of Deaths.

Yes. I believe that Borders Took on WaldenBooks… At least they share the Borders Rewards program.

Ollie Matson, who was considered such a good football player he was once traded for eight players and a draft pick, has died at the age of 80. Matson, who also won two track and field medals in the 1952 Olympics, gained 12,884 combined yards on rushes, receptions, and returns during a 14-year National Football League career despite enjoying only two winning seasons during that stretch.

Joe Frazier, who managed the New York Mets for one full season (1976) and part of the next campaign, passed away at 88. Frazier had won four minor-league pennants in five years before getting what would be his only big-league managing job.

Christian Lambertsen, Scuba Inverntor dies at 93.
I thought someone related to the invention of SCUBA died in recent memory…

And you know, when I was trying to create my list, it was all I could do to get 2 dozen.

Oh well, I guess there is always next year.

U.N.I.T. will never be the same.

Nicholas Courtney, aka Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart has passed away
Additionally, Dwayne McDuffie, African-American comic pioneer whose latest work - writing the adaptation of All-Star Superman - was just released on DVD/Blu-Ray today has also died

Nuts.

“Jenkins! Chap with wings. Five rounds rapid!”

I should probably clarify for those that don’t immediately recognize the name that the Brigadier is one of the more (if not the most) beloved characters in Doctor Who.

The Brigadier was always fun, but as far as beloved goes I’m all in favor of Amy Pond. Come to think of it, I liked Leela and Romana better than the Brigadier too.

Recent video of Steve Jobs does not look promising for him lasting until Jan 1, for a spot my 2012 list…

Wow, he does look ill. I hope he can beat it.

“Just once I’d like to meet an alien menace that isn’t immune to bullets!”

Damn, this has me kind of bummed. The Brigadier was one of my favorite characters in the series.

“Deadliest Catch” deckhand Justin Tennison of the F/V Time Bandit was found dead this weekin an Alaska hotel room. He was 34.

Tenni SON.
Sigh.

Me too.

At least for another 310 days.

Perhaps that is what that announcement is for. Looks like the new iSteve is coming out just in time.

Oh man, the Deadliest Catch crews are a Dream Team Theme Death List. How did I not think of it before?

How many is this?

I know right? Its right there in the name.
