RIP, William Windom, whom I saw in his one-man show about James Thurber about 20 years ago. He was quite entertaining.
A unique pick for me???

Looks like it!
At last, something to do. There haven’t been all that many deaths to count this month yet.
You go from tied for 92nd to lone possessor of 79th place.
He didn’t actually play James Thurber, just a fictional character who happened to be a cartoonist who drew exactly like Thurber did.
I liked him better as Doctor Seth Haslet in “Murder, She Wrote”
He did portray Thurber in his one-man show, which is what I saw.
79th place! Awesome!
Ah. I sit corrected.
Scott Mckenzie won’t be wearing flowers in his hair any longer. Dead at 73.
Tony Scott, younger brother of Ridley Scott and director in his own right - Top Gun, Crimson Tide, The Last Boy Scout - committed suicide at age 68
WTF? I know we are usually ghoulish in this thread but that is horrible.
Yeah, that’s why no jokes from me on this one…
Not sure what the alarm is about. Looks a like
a straightforward account to me. But hey,
people get to choose their own level of
outrage and confusion. Carry on.
Is there some in joke that I am missing?
No joke, he jumped off a bridge and left a suicide note in his car.
I think Kolak was referring to the death itself being horrible, not the comment.
Thanks Spaz Cat- I had heard about the suicide but I just didn’t understand the angst. INRS helped but I still don’t get it.
Quien es mas macho? Tony Scott or Ridley Scott?
I am completely mystified by this comment.
It may be that Scott had a pretty good reason for suicide – inoperable brain cancer. Or perhaps some publicist is just blowing smoke for some reason or other.
Reportedly, he had undisclosed terminal brain cancer.
Obviously, he did not want to be a Death Pool bandwagon pick for 2013…
William Windom is welcomed to a new world. Age 88.
ETA: Sorry, beaten to it. Apparently happened yesterday.
Phyllis Diller cackles her way into the next life. Age 95.
